Described as a primitive dog, the Africanis is indigenous to South Africa. The breed is a medium sized, slenderly built but well muscled dog, slightly longer than tall. They should give the impression of beinga swift, without losing their natural need for space and a certain degree of freedom, and when approached correctly, are easily trainable. The Africanis is now included, as an emerging breed, within the Hound Group. Colour: Any colour or combinations permissible.
