The Abyssinian is a colourful cat with a distinctly ticked coat, medium in size and regal in appearance. The Abyssinian is lithe, hard and muscular, showing eager activity and a keen interest in her surroundings.

This new breed is an elegant cat with a semi-foreign body shape that is moderately muscled. Her coat, which can be either shorthaired or long, is soft and close lying with minimal undercoat.
